Fabulous France!
“Hourglass Expeditions went above and beyond planning our trip to France! We had an idea of the cities we wanted to visit, and they were great at listening to our thoughts and then crafting the trip in a way that I never would have come up with on my own. They helped us find a logical path through the stops, and made all the arrangements for us. Hourglass Expeditions had great ideas for our sightseeing activities and how to arrange them to maximize our experience in each city. They put all of my travel anxiety at ease, and made things so easy for us. They even came through in an emergency when our hotel reservation was cancelled (my fault). “Hourglass Expeditions helped plan and book my first family vacation in France. I was travelling to France on a business trip and decided to take a vacation afterwards. Hourglass Expeditions were extremely approachable, knowledgeable, and friendly, and went out of their way to customize the trip for us. My family and I were flying into Paris and returning from Nice. They planned and booked the air tickets and local tours for us. They even recommended against booking certain tours and suggested doing the activity on our own instead (to save time and money). They have travelled extensively throughout their lives with and without their families — this sets them apart from other travel agents as they actually know the destination thoroughly. “The Hourglass travel service is a huge benefit for planning with someone who cares and is a seasoned avid world traveler. Our family, including our 90-year-old mother, traveled to Taiwan and Japan. Five of us saved over $300 per person. The agency did the planning to get us a private shuttle for the long drive from the airport to the hotel in Tokyo. We had to rearrange times and hotels, which our agent did smoothly. Attempting to do these changes ourselves would have been stressful and added costs. I recommend Hourglass Expeditions to my traveling friends and now to you. The saying ‘use the right tool for the right job’ is so true. Use the right travel agent.”

Were they just there?
“I had the pleasure of working with Hourglass Expeditions on a recent trip to Spain for my 50th birthday party. We had two separate families and a range of age groups. I can say without hesitation that they provided excellent recommendations for excursions and optimal timing throughout the entire trip. Most importantly, they were able to secure very good pricing for reservations without issue and accommodated changes as we developed our plans – flamenco shows, wineries, cooking classes, cathedral tours – on and on. It’s as if Hourglass Expeditions just returned from Spain themselves and shared lessons learned, knowing how to get right to the good stuff. Obviously, I will put Hourglass Expeditions to work again for my 51st birthday celebration.”

“Of all the vacations and adventures I’ve been on, none compared to this one. And this was all thanks to Hourglass Expeditions and their compassion and commitment to making my trip so unique. I was very impressed by the locations they chose. We drove through places I had only read about. From the ocean views at the places we stayed, nestled in remote rainforests, to the deep jungle we explored, everything was not only exciting but the envy of my friends and family. Every picture we took captured something I had barely experienced prior. For me, the thing that stood out was the feeling we had backpacking into the Osa Peninsula.
